Stillwater River Ripper Measure Fishing Competition
Friday 19 - Sunday 21 April 2024
This comp will be held inside the red marker at the headland, and will be a measure comp.
We encourage dinghies, land kayaks and will have a good swag of kids prizes up for grabs.
High tide Saturday 5.14pm
Fishing will commence 4pm Friday until 12pm Sunday.

1st Snapper Prize is a brand new Parsun 2.5hp outboard motor from Master Marine.

Ladies Fishing Competition
Saturday 17th Feb 2024 (Postponement date 24th Feb)
The Annual Ladies Fishing Competition is coming soon. Early bird tickets available until 4th February. Tickets - $50. Early bird is a loaded Icyteck Chilly Bin valued over $400. Entry includes a souvenir gift.
Purchase at the club or online. Start time 5am Saturday 17th Feb - Weigh-in 4pm (entrants must be in line by this time). See rules below.

Kids Fishing Competition
Sunday 14th January 2024
For children 12 yrs and under, and they must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian during the fishing comp.
Numbers are limited due to fishing only being allowed on our jetty. Times for fishing 9:30 - 11:30am, followed by a snack, drink and prizegiving back in clubhouse.
Categories include things from fish species, the length, the oddest catch, the biggest tangle, plus more.
All kids will receive a certificate, gift, food and drink!
Tickets on sale $10 online or at the club.
Measure Up Fishing Tournament

This is an all summer measure competition, where you take a photo of your fish and email in to enter. You can return your fish to the water, or take it home for tea!
You can fish anywhere, at any time between Boxing Day and the 6th Feb. (Waitangi Weekend)
$500 prize for first snapper, cash prizes and spot prizes for other winners. Get your crew together and get amongst this popular event.

This competition is run by the fishing committee or other nominated members of the Stillwater Boating Club. (The committee) This committee shall have final decision-making powers on the eligibility of any angler or catch entered into the competition. Timing, species and prizes available may be amended due to catch numbers, weather or entrants at the committee’s discretion.

Always a fun competition, with many leaving on Friday night and making a weekend of it. Bounty of the Sea Fishing Competition & Charity Auction

We are proud to create this opportunity to give back to the community, and are grateful to all the sponsors this event has attracted. Without them the competition and charity auction would not be possible so please support us and them. ALL PROCEEDS TO CHARITIES- Hibiscus Coastguard, Cancer Research Trust NZ, and Stillwater Waterwise.
This year the competition will see the inaugural CHRISTINE BLACK MEMORIAL TROPHY added to the event, in remembrance of club committee member Christine Black, who sadly passed away after a short battle with cancer.
