The working bee team arranged by the commodore Mike had a good day yesterday and managed to finish the attachment of the new fender system on the pontoon. This means the wharf is now open again to our members for general use....
July 17, 2022Jetty Closure
The jetty will be closed to all boats from Friday evening onwards until further notice. We are planning to upgrade the fenders on the pontoon from this weekend and would appreciate it if boats are not on the pontoon and can be kept away for this timeframe. As of 11.59 pm on the 2nd of December, New Zealand moves to the new traffic light framework. Auckland will be operating under the red traffic light. From Friday, the 10th of December, we will open our indoor and outdoor areas for use to fully vaccinated members. To all our members and local community The main work is now completed on the new pontoon extension. There are a few minor tidy up jobs to complete, but we can advise that the pontoon and wharf are able to be accessed for use, so fishing, swimming and of course the main role of boat use can all resume. November 30, 2021Update on Wharf Closure
The pontoon and wharf areas are still a works site and need to remain closed until later next week. Over the weekend the new piles were put into position and the black sleeves put over them. We still need to complete works on all piles and fill the encasements sleeves with concrete and cap them. The concrete part is unable to be done until early next week and we will need to allow time for this to set before any vessels can tie up to them. Thanks for your co-operation. The wharf and pontoon areas will be unavailable for public use over the next week.The Building and Infrastruture Committee have advised that the wharf and pontoon area will be closed as of today Tuesday 16th and until Sunday 28th November for works to commence on placing the new poles for the pontoon extension in the water. From 11:59pm tonight Auckland will move into an easing process of Level 3 restrictions as the government introduces a phased step down of these restrictions, starting with Step 1 tomorrow which relates to OUTSIDE recreational and meeting activities.
